The SDLM-051-095-01-05 is a powerful, compact linear actuator measuring just 2.00 in. (50.8 mm) in diameter and 3.75 in. (95.3 mm) long. It has a 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) stroke and features a resolution of 5 microns (0.000197 in.).
The integral, linear optical quadrature encoder is directly connect to the shaft for the greatest possible bandwidth and accuracy and is protected by the housing. This fully enclosed linear motor features a continuous force rating of 7.6 lbs (33.9 N) and a peak force of 24.1 lbs. (107.2 N) at 10% duty cycle.

Problem: Move heavy sets on a sound stage smoothly, quickly, and most importantly quietly! Ball screws specified in the original design proved unacceptable due to the limited length of travel, screw deflection which resulted in a lack of smoothness, and high noise levels. A rack and pinion was also considered but the noise level was also too high and there was no room for a gearbox. Linear motors are quiet however the cost was prohibitive, and a belt system could not handle the heavy loads.
Solution: The new Streamliner Open Screw Drive System from Winner was selected by the production company to move the heavy sets on the sound stage.

Protected inside the motor housing, the linear optical quadrature encoder is directly connected to the shaft for the greatest possible accuracy.
Highest throughputs are achieved by the SDLM-019-070-01-01 linear motor when operating at peak efficiency monitoring the data from the internal temperature sensor.
The SDLM-019-070-01-01 direct drive linear motor has a stroke length of 0.500 in. (12.7 mm) and a continuous force rating of 7.3 oz. (2.0 N) and peak force of 23.0 oz (6.4 N). The LVCM-025-022-01 has a stroke length of 0.375 in. (9.5 mm) a mid-stroke length of 1.30 in. (33 mm) and it has a high force to size ratio of 16.9 oz (4.7 N) and a peak force of 53.5 oz. (14.9 N) at 10% duty cycle. The LVCM-025-029-01 has a stroke length of 0.625 in. (15.9 mm) a mid-stroke length of 1.68 in. (43 mm) with a continuous force of 18.2 oz (5.1 N) and a peak force of 57.7 oz. (16.0 N) at 10% duty cycle. These compact, high-force-to-size ratio motors are ideal for: work holding and clamping, medical devices, assembly, testing, laser machining and drilling, wafer handling, optical focusing, dynamic vibration absorption, scanners and laser beam steering and filtering.
