Van Nuys, CA – — Motion Control – The new AY110-300 Motorized Rotary Stage from Optimal Engineering Systems, Inc. (OES) features a large 180 mm (7.087 in.) open aperture. This precision, large open aperture (hollow core), low profile stage is just 65 mm (2.559 in.) high and it’s foot print is only 303 mm by 319 mm (11.929 in. by 12.559 in.) not including the motor. The rotary table of the stage has a precise pattern of threaded holes for mounting custom tooling and fixtures, and holes in the base for easy integration into new and existing applications. The diameter of the rotary table is 300 mm (11.811 in.) and the range of travel is a full 360o, and it is capable of continuous rotation. The table is driven by a smooth 288:1 worm gear and has a resolution of 0.000625o with a 10 micro-step per step stepper motor driver. The AY110-300 Rotary Stage is also available with a servo motor and optical encoder. The standard model is equipped with stepper motor and a is a knob for manual adjustment which can be replaced with an optical encoder for precision position verification.

The low cost, low profile AY110-300 Rotary Stage features a very low backlash of 0.0005o, and a positional accuracy of 0.001o, making it ideal for: laser positioning and machining, scribing, microscopy, testing, assembly, inspection, alignment, and other critical applications. This black anodized stage has a load capacity of 65Kg (143 lbs) and there is an indicator scale for visual sighting of the angle of rotation. The stage can be ordered with Plug-and-Play with a fully compatible controller from OES.

This precision stage is just 1.772 in. (45 mm) high and the foot print is only 4.764 in. by 6.693 in. (121 mm by 170 mm). The stage has a pattern of threaded mounting holes in the rotary table and holes in the base for easy integration into new and existing applications. The diameter of the table is 3.937 in. (100 mm) and the range of travel of the AY110-100-SC Rotary Stage is a full 360o and it is capable of continuous rotation. The table is driven by a 180:1 worm gear at up to 14o per second and has a resolution of 0.0001o with a 10 micro-step per step stepper motor driver. The stage is also available with a servo motor and optical encoder. When configured with the standard stepper motor there is a knob for manual adjustment which can be replaced with an optical encoder for precision position verification

The low cost, low profile AY110-100-SC rotary stage features a parallelism of 80 microns, a backlash of 0.0005o, surface roundness of 15 microns, positional accuracy of 0.001o, and a transmission deviation of 5 microns making it ideal for: Microscopy, laser positioning and machining, inspection, assembly, testing, and other critical applications. This black anodized stage has a load capacity of 99 lbs (45Kg) and there is an indicator scale for visual sighting of the angle of rotation. The stage can be ordered plug-and-play with a fully compatible controller from OES.

Philadelphia, PA, — Motion Control Components and Systems – The ACR-335UT direct drive rotary table from IntelLiDrives adapts linear motor technology, coupled with precision bearings, to provide faster and more accurate handling of the 300 mm semiconductor wafers.

The 335 mm diameter center opening in the ACR-335UT rotary table easily accommodates large 300 mm (12 inch) semiconductor wafers, allowing for extraction of the chip dies from the wafer during semiconductor assembly manufacturing processes or dual side wafer inspection.

Presently, semiconductor assembly equipment manufacturers do only limited wafer rotation, but ACR-335UT stage goes 360°, at up to 300 rpm speed.

This large angle wafer rotation can be done without need to align wafer carrier before placement on the table, thereby increasing throughput. An XY table that carries the rotary table is used for linear Cartesian Alignment. The large open center allows equipment above and below the table to extract precut integrated circuit dies cut from the 300 mm wafer or to do dual side wafer measurement and inspection.

Today’s mechanical drive technologies used in processing 200 mm (8 inch wafers) such as gear drive, worm drive and belt all lack positioning stiffness and accuracy. While worm gear rotary tables can fully rotate wafer , it speed is in single digit rpm. Belt drives can rotate at high speeds, but low belt stiffness and high drive inertia results is low accuracy and poor dynamics.

While these characteristics could be tolerated in the past, since it was not until advent of the large semiconductor wafers that a high accurate, precise and large open aperture rotary actuator was needed.

The ACR-335UT rotary table is essentially a linear motor “curved” to form a ring. There are 16 RotoLinear motoring modules (up 24 modules can be installed for higher torque capability) within the ring that forms the motor. Axial placement of these modules along with the ultra-thin bearing system allowed design of the very low profile rotary stage.

The positioning stiffness of the direct drive ACR-350UT rotary table allows it to achieve and to maintain arc-sec accuracy at hundreds of rpm and excellent dynamics even during fast Cartesian (XY) wafer indexing.

Also vital, and the major manufacturing challenges, were the tight tolerances on the axial and radial bearings that allowed to achieve both axial and radial run-outs well under 10 microns.

AccuRing rotary tables provide superior angular positioning and are designed to eliminate backlash, friction and wear problems associated with worm, gear and belt drives. Low maintenance and high throughput characteristics of the AccuRing stage yields the lowest total cost of ownership.

Compact package and Superior design of the AccuRing rotary stages was optimized to minimize stage height. The low profile of the stage reduces total system working height. Angular contact bearings are used to maximize performance with respect to wobble, moment stiffness and friction. AccuRing stage has large clear center aperture that can be used for air or wire line feed-through or beam delivery.

AccuRing utilizes direct drive three phase planar brushless motor technology. There are no brushes to replace and no gear trains or belts to maintain. Coreless magnetic design assures smooth rotation and dynamic performance.

Accurate Positioning is assured with contact-less encoder. The motor and rotary encoders are directly coupled to eliminate coupling backlash. The low inertia and zero backlash make AccuRing the ideal solution for applications requiring frequent directional changes.

The parallelism of the table is less than 50µm. The AR59-AV vertical rotation stage is ideal for: Micro robotics, metrology, vision systems, positioning of mirrors and lasers, laser machining or scribing, electronic assembly, testing, and photonics

The clear aperture of the AR59-AV vertical rotation stage allows for vacuum and / or electrical lines, as well as optics. A knob on the motor shaft allows for manual positioning. This knob may be replaced with an optical encoder for position verification. This compact black anodized vertical rotation stage with a full 360O of rotation and 30 mm (1.181 inches) clear aperture measures just 116.5 mm (4.587 inches) long x 80 mm (3.150 inches) high and the base is 60 mm (2.362 inches) x 60 mm (2.362 inches) for stability with 4 countersunk mounting holes for easy integration into new and existing applications. DIRECT DRIVE TECHNOLOGY – DIRECT DRIVE rotary tables provide superior angular positioning and are designed to eliminate backlash, friction and wear problems associated with worm, gear and belt drives. Low maintenance and high throughput characteristics of the DDR stages yields the lowest total cost of ownership. INTELLIGENT ACTUATORS can easily “talk over” USB 2.0, Ethenet, RS232, RS485 interfaces and come with powerful yet easy to use software packages. for system start-up and integration, like communication drivers, linkable DLL libraries, National Instruments Labview drivers and VI examples, GUI and easy-to-use DXF conversion software.

These rotary tables utilizes direct drive three phase brushless motor technology. There are no brushes to replace and no gear trains or belts to maintain.

ABSOLUTE ENCODER – Accurate Positioning performance is assured with precision ABSOLUTE encoder that provides arc-sec positioning resolution. The motor and rotary encoders are directly coupled to eliminate coupling backlash.

Absolute encoder keeps track of its position at all times, and provides it as soon as power is applied. This feature is particularly useful in applications where the equipment has power turned off between uses. No need to move to home sensor or index pulse to establish a reference position.

Philadelphia, PA, — Motion Control Components and Systems – The ACR-32UT precision rotation stage is a low profile rotary table with a high-speed direct-drive rotary servo motor. The 32 mm center aperture and lightweight construction makes this rotary stage an ideal choice for handling 300 mm silicon wafers for semiconductor processing

ACR-32UT has a very wide dynamic speed range and can move at sub-rpm speed with low velocity ripple and can accelerate quickly to 1,500 rpm. This stage can be easily installed into IntelLiDrives low profile open frame XY tables with a minimal stack-up height to minimize Abbe error.

These features make the ACR-32UT outperform the stability, acceleration and settling speed of traditional servo motor gear-driven mechanisms, according to the company. IntelLiDrives offers a wide range of servo amplifiers and advanced controllers to provide a complete, integrated package.

Features include:

  • Room in the Middle. ServoBelt Rotary stages offer two different through hole configurations. Available with 50-, 100- or 200-mm center openings, our large through hole stages accommodate large bundles of power, signal and pnuematic conductors. They also make it easy to integrate laser and optical systems. Standard-sized models with 16- or 25-mm through holes offer a more economical choice when fewer utilities need to pass through the center of the stage.
  • Direct Drive Performance. Designed for NEMA 23 and 34 motors, the ServoBelt rotary stages offer speeds up to 1,000 rpm, continuous torque to 6.6 N-m and resolution down to 0.16 arc-sec with Renishaw ring encoders or tape scales for partial rotation.
  • Application Flexibility. ServoBelt Rotary stages support both continuous rotation and variable indexing applications
