Van Nuys, CA —– Motion Control – Build-to-Order High Precision XZR Positioning Stages (X-axis, Z-axis, and Rotary- axis) are the newest addition to the OES (Optimal Engineering Systems, Inc.) family of motion control stages.  When specifying an XZR stage a user can select from a combination of linear stages with travel lengths of 15 mm, 30 mm, 50 mm, and 75 mm for the X and Z axes that feature high precision 1 mm per turn lead screws.  For the rotary axis a 60 mm diameter rotary table or 100 mm diameter rotary table are available.

Four motor options are the: -01 version which has Stepper Motor driven axes, -02 version has Three-Phase Servo Motor driven axes with Quadrature Incremental Optical Encoders, -03 version has DC Servo Motor driven axes with Quadrature Incremental Optical Encoders and -04 version has Stepper Motor driven axes with Quadrature Optical Encoders for position verification.

The X and Z axes feature positional accuracy of 10 microns and repeatability of 5 microns; the 60 mm rotary table features a +/- 0.01 degrees repeatability, and the 100 mm diameter rotary table features +/- 0.05 degrees repeatability.  For the highest resolution, accuracy, and speed options select the -02 or -03 for closed loop servo motor operation.  These stages are ideal for: Laser scanning, machining and drilling, alignment, mirror positioning, inspection, and testing.

Each axis is equipped with limit switches to signal the motion controller for end-of-travel positions. The rotary axes have calibrated scales for visual indication and precision pattern of threaded holes for mounting tooling or fixtures.

Any of these XZR Positioning Stages can be ordered plug-and-play with a fully compatible multi-axis motion controller from OES.
